At Moskera we don't just fight insects: we install peace and quiet. And it all starts with the mesh, the heart of a fly screen. It is the mesh that stops what you don't want while letting air, light and the view through. Here, in full transparency, is what it is made of.
The same premium mesh goes into all three models (door, large opening and window): a PVC-coated E-glass fibreglass fabric, tightly woven, with flame-retardant filaments.

One mesh, three formats
Whichever model you choose, you get the same PVC-coated fibreglass fabric, flame-retardant and tear-proof. What changes is the format and the use.
Door model
For front, garage and back doors. A central magnetic opening that closes itself behind you.
Large opening model
For sliding glass doors, patio doors and wide openings. Designed to cover the most generous openings.

For all your windows. Fitted without drilling, ideal whether you rent or own.
Why E-glass fibreglass?
- Against aluminium: it does not rust, does not dent, does not hold creases, and stays flexible (perfect for a magnetic system).
- Against bare fibreglass: the PVC coating locks the weave, protects the thread, stabilises the colour and makes cleaning easier.
- Against polyester: it is more stable in heat, does not slacken, and has a non-combustible glass core.
Frequently asked questions about the mesh
Which insects does an 18 × 16 mesh stop?
Mosquitoes, flies, wasps, hornets, bees, moths and large spiders. 18 × 16 remains the ideal standard for the vast majority of homes.
Does the mesh let air and light through properly?
Yes. About 59 % of the surface is open, preserving close to 65 % of the airflow. The room stays cool, airy and bright.
Which mesh colour should I choose?
Black absorbs light instead of reflecting it: it is the most transparent mesh, with about 90 to 95 % visibility to the outside, less glare, and it stays discreet seen from outside. Light grey comes close behind (about 75 to 85 %). White is the most opaque (about 60 to 75 %) and preserves more privacy during the day.
Does the mesh rust or lose its shape over time?
No. Fibreglass does not rust, does not corrode, is rot-proof and keeps its shape, unlike aluminium, which dents and holds creases.
Is the mesh fire resistant?
Yes. Its filaments are flame-retardant and the fabric is rated M2 (hard to ignite): it slows the flame and does not catch alight like an ordinary textile.
How do I clean the fly screen?
A wipe with a sponge or a damp cloth is enough. Avoid the washing machine and abrasive products, which damage the PVC coating.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes. The mesh is non-toxic, flexible (no sharp metal edges) and works as a mechanical barrier: no insecticide, no chemicals.
How long does the mesh last?
From 8 to 20 years depending on use: anti-UV coating, stable and hard-wearing fibreglass. A purchase that lasts.
