The Best Magnetic Screen Door for Your Home
Choosing a magnetic screen door means choosing reliable, long-lasting bug protection that suits a busy household. Unlike traditional hinged screen doors or sliding screen doors, this magnetic mesh door closes automatically behind you every single time - no more bugs sneaking in while your hands are full or your kids and pets are running in and out. It combines hands-free convenience, solid insect control and effortless DIY installation, making it one of the most popular screen door solutions for front doors, back doors, sliding doors, patio doors and French doors across Canada.
Heavy-Duty, Tear-Resistant Mesh
The quality of the mesh makes all the difference in a magnetic screen door. This screen is made from a fine, heavy-duty fiberglass mesh that blocks out mosquitoes, flies, gnats, bugs and other insects while allowing fresh air and natural light to flow freely into your home. The mesh is tough, tear-resistant and scratch-proof, built to handle high-traffic use and stand up to the demands of daily wear - including homes with kids and pets coming in and out all day long. No tools required to install, and the screen stores away easily when not in use.
Powerful Magnets for a No-Gap, Auto-Sealing Closure
The heavy-duty magnets sewn into the full length of the magnetic screen door ensure a fast, automatic and no-gap seal after every single pass-through. This powerful self-sealing magnetic closure system means the mesh door closes on its own - instantly and silently - keeping bugs and mosquitoes out without you having to think about it. It's exactly this auto-close mechanism that makes the magnetic mesh screen door so practical for busy Canadian households, whether you're entertaining outdoors or just letting the dog in and out.

Front Door & Back Door
Fitted to your front door or back door, the magnetic screen door lets you keep the door wide open to let the summer breeze in, without letting a single bug or mosquito through. It attaches quickly to your door frame using the included self-adhesive hook and loop strips, for a fast and easy no-drill DIY install that takes just minutes.
Patio Door, Sliding Door & French Doors
The magnetic screen door is also perfectly suited to patio doors, sliding doors and French doors. It lets you enjoy your backyard, deck or outdoor space freely, without the annoyance of flies, gnats and mosquitoes following you inside - whether you're entertaining guests or simply enjoying a warm summer evening outdoors.
Cottage Door
The magnetic screen door is also an ideal solution for cottage doors. Whether you're spending the weekend at the lake or enjoying an extended stay, it keeps bugs and mosquitoes out while letting the fresh breeze flow through - no permanent installation needed, easy to pack and take with you wherever you go.
Pet Friendly & Kid Friendly
One of the standout features of this magnetic mesh screen door is how effortlessly pets and kids can move through it. Dogs, cats and children can push right through the screen with zero effort, and the powerful magnets snap it shut behind them every time - no more leaving the door open and letting bugs in.
Custom Size, Made to Your Door
Thanks to its flexible, adjustable design, the magnetic screen door can be easily trimmed to fit your specific door opening. Simply cut it to size - the mesh won't fray - for a snug, custom fit that delivers maximum bug protection no matter the size of your door, patio opening or cottage entryway.
Screen Doors for a Canadian Summer
The Canadian season is short and it does not ease in. It is worth having the door covered before it starts rather than during the two weeks it becomes unbearable.
The patio door
Most Canadian patio doors came with a screen panel in an outer track. The failure is almost always mechanical rather than the mesh: rollers worn flat, a track packed with grit and road salt residue, or a panel that has been forced and no longer runs true. Winter is hard on that assembly. A panel fixed to the casing covers the opening regardless of what the old track is doing and has no rollers to fail.
Timing it around black fly season
Black flies emerge around mid May and peak from late May into late June, a week or two later in cottage country. That makes April and early May the sensible window for getting the door covered, because a made to measure panel is produced after the order rather than pulled off a shelf. Waiting until you notice them is waiting about three weeks too long.
The cottage door
A cottage is usually close to moving water, which is where black flies breed, and its door stands open all day when the weather is good. It also sits unattended for most of the year. A screen you can put up on the Friday, take down in September and bring home is a better fit there than a fixed installation nobody is around to maintain.
Condos and balcony doors
In a condominium the exterior face of the building and often the balcony door are common elements, and the corporation's rules generally govern anything attached to them. A screen fitted with adhesive on the inside changes nothing on the outside and comes away without a trace, which avoids the question entirely.
A note on the mesh
Standard 18x16 mesh stops mosquitoes, houseflies and wasps. It is not fine enough for black flies, which need 20x20 screening we do not make. If black flies rather than mosquitoes are your real problem, that is worth knowing before you order.
